Dursley Rugby Club Update
26th March 2020
We hope that all members, supporters and readers are keeping well during this difficult time.
The Club Continuity Plan is in operation covering all aspects of the running of the Club. We are grateful to the various people who are helping with that.
We are also very grateful for the generosity of so many people who have donated their Summer Ball deposit of £10 to the Club instead of taking a refund, as this has allowed us to cover the deposits we still needed to make to some suppliers without dipping into other club funds. Many thanks to you all.
Also a big thank you to everyone who is helping in their different ways to combat the virus and its impact, whether volunteering in the local community, working in the NHS, teachers, care workers, refuse collectors, postal workers, delivery drivers, shop/supermarket staff and any I fail to mention here. We know there are many of all those categories amongst our members and supporters so a big thank you.
As posted last week, any Club members able and willing to assist with volunteering locally are encouraged to contact the GL11 Community Hub who are coordinating the local volunteer effort at office@gl11.org.uk . you will also be aware of the various nation-wide campaigns.
Also, anyone who finds themselves out of work and/or looking for work at this time may be interested to read the article on BBC news below about the businesses currently looking for workers. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52040539
Further updates will be provided as things progress. If you have any queries about the Club or have any suggestions to make, please do so via your usual Club contact network.
Meanwhile, please stay safe and healthy and look out for those who need your support.
