Dursley Under 12s took a large squad of 26 to Painswick for the last match of the season.
Dursley started brightly with Adams making some good runs but it was Painswick who found the gaps and with good support play surged into a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. With a different team out in the next quarter Dursley opened the scoring with Thompson bursting through strongly to elude a couple of tackles.
The score was soon level when Sheldon broke down the wing to out pace the defence and a final score from Winchle saw Dursley take a 19 -14 lead at the half way stage. Painswick were not beaten and they fought back with two tries in the third quarter to lead 28 - 19. In the last quarter the Dursley forwards piled on the pressure but were held up by a resolute Painswick defence on three occasions.
The backs had better luck and found their way over with White, Sheldon and Winchle each scoring to give a final score of 38-28 to Dursley.
