No joy for Dursley at local rivals
Dursley succumbed to only their 2nd defeat in 9 games this season despite a gutsy performance. The home side got off to a good start, scoring within the first few minutes as Dursley failed to deal with a high ball. Dursley then took control and piled on the pressure, with the forwards taking the game to Cirencester . Their reward, came after determined pressure from the forwards as Akhurst (R) found his way through to score. A penalty gave Cirencester a half time lead of 10-5. Although Dursley pushed hard, two tries in quick succession for the home team, early in the 2nd half meant Dursley were always chasing the game. The visitors piled on the pressure, but they could not find a way through a well organised Cirencester defence.
