Dursley traveled to Brockworth with the aim of producing the sort of form that stood them well earlier in the season. Dursley’s superior fitness ensured a strong finish but the Stinchcombe outfit left it just a little late to take the points and do the double over a much-improved Brockworth side. Dursley welcomed back two club stalwarts from injury: Darren Noble and Nicholas Hull, however the former limped off in the second half due to a recurrence to an old ankle injury.
After conceding two soft tries early in the game Dursley were always chasing the game. They completely dominated the set piece putting the
Dursley once again outscored their opponents with 3 tries to 2 however Brockworth have their prolific kicker to thank for 16 of their 26 points, whilst Dursley struggled with the boot.
Despite the defeat it was a much more spirited performance from all involved with special praise to the young halfback pairing of Lister and Oldman who stepped in at the 11th hour to help out.
