Dursley Rugby Football Club
New season welcome from the Chair
16th October 2020
It has been an unusual start to the season and that explains why this annual welcome, usually published at the start of September, is later than we'd like.
There are several reasons for this delayed welcome to you all; but mainly that we've been in constant communication with our members about what's happening and when - as guidance changes sometimes weekly. We've spent a lot of time making sure things are working as safely and effectively as they can.
There will be plenty more of the regular updates in the coming months, so this brief message is mainly to say THANK YOU to the people who have worked very hard to enable sport to continue during the summer (including cricket, running & athletics, as well as rugby training in various groups), and also to enable it to restart with even greater purpose in September, especially with the restart of the mini and youth rugby proper. It was clear from the outset how pleased the youngsters have been to get back to the club and the sport we all love.
The Club will be as open for sport and social activity as much as it can be, and we will adjust to any changes to the Guidance as we go along.
It continues to be a learning experience, and we thank everyone for their cooperation and understanding as we work our way through the coming months – and please bear with any hiccups along the way!
