Social & Fund Raising
A new Social & Fund Raising Committee has met for the first time in the post Christmas period. Under the Chairmanship of Social & Fund Raising Manager Ken Eales, the team will take responsibility for raising funds for our club’s next exciting development plans.
Ken and the Committee are co-ordinating all fund raising efforts, while the Club's Management Committee is working on the strategy and planning, to deliver the new facilities. If you would like to help with Fund Raising, or have ideas for events, or know of any companies who would be interested in helping the Club achieve its objectives, then please contact Ken Eales on kleales@yahoo.co.uk or any of the Committee or Team Fund Raisers.

All teams and sections of the Club will be asked to make their contributions to the target and a new ‘Fund Raising Thermometer’ will shortly appear in the clubhouse, to measure and illustrate the successes of the whole club effort.
With plans for new events such as Table Top sales, relaunch of the Engraved Plaques, an Auction of Promises and the RFU Grand Draw, the Committee has set objectives to achieve the challenging target required. Ken said ‘Our club has a fantastic record of raising significant amounts of money to develop our facilities. We need to build on the great success of events such as the Beer Festival and the Summer Ball and we will seek funds from external sources to compliment and add to the great efforts of our Membership. We are now planning our next targets, with the priority to redevelop our changing and clubhouse facilities. This is an important step for the future development and success of our club.’
