Welcome from the Chairman

AS Chairman I would like to welcome you to the Dursley Rugby Club website which should provide you with all relevant information regarding the clubs activities and fixtures.

Dursley Rugby Club is situated in the village of Stinchcombe about one and a half miles south west of the town of Dursley. Following a period of development which has resulted in a brand new, full-size pitch, opening in September 2009, the club now has altogether three rugby pitches plus training areas.

However Dursley RFC is a thriving, community-based rugby club which provides facilities for sports other than rugby - particularly cricket and athletics - and its buildings are available for use by local community groups and residents. It has a fully-licensed bar and a fully equipped kitchen.

Membership of the club is thriving and it runs three senior mens teams, a veterans team, an occasional ladies team and it has a very strong and well-run Minis and Juniors Section respected throughout the county as several of its young players have gone on to play representative rugby. The First XV currently plays in the Gloucester League Division 1 and the Second XV in 2009 won promotion to the Gloucestershire Citizen Merit Table Division 2.
